How can we help?

FAQ

Do I need a Twitch account?

No. You can run the full loop on demo data. Connect Twitch only if you want analysis of your own VODs and clips.

What happens when I connect Twitch?

Twitch asks you to authorize StreamLoop. We use that to read your channel, VODs, and clips so the growth loop can run. We never see your Twitch password.

Where is my data stored?

Your login session is kept in an HTTP-only cookie. Stream lists may be cached in this browser. While you are live we store viewer-count snapshots so we can show avg/peak after the stream. We do not keep a separate StreamLoop copy of your VOD library.

How do I disconnect or delete my data?

Use Log out in the app, the Delete my data button on this page, and optionally revoke StreamLoop under Twitch → Settings → Connections.

Is StreamLoop affiliated with Twitch?

No. StreamLoop is an independent product that uses the Twitch API. Twitch is a trademark of Twitch Interactive, Inc.

Why don’t sampled viewers match Twitch Stream Summary?

Twitch Stream Summary is the official avg/max. StreamLoop snapshots Helix’s live viewer count while you are live (Twitch does not give past CCV). We exclude you from that count to match the dashboard. Unique viewers, live views, and chatters in Stream Summary are not available via the public API.

Will my next stream have sampled avg/peak?

Yes. After you connect once, Twitch tells StreamLoop when you go live and we keep snapshotting viewers about every 15 seconds until you end — you do not have to leave this tab open. Unique viewers, live views, and chatters still will not appear.

When will paid plans launch?

Not yet. The beta is free while the product is being shaped. If pricing launches later, it will be optional and announced in the product.
