Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
This policy explains how StreamLoop (streamloop.gg) handles information when you use the site and, if you choose, when you connect your Twitch account.
What we collect
- Twitch account data (only if you connect Twitch): your Twitch user ID, login, display name, profile image, and follower count. We also request VODs, clips, and related channel data needed to run the growth loop.
- Session cookie: an HTTP-only cookie named
streamloop_sessionstores your signed-in session after Twitch OAuth. It is required for login to work. - Local device data: the browser may store demo progress, viewed streams, and similar preferences in local storage on your device. This does not go to our servers.
- Support email: if you write to us, we receive whatever you include in the message (name, contact, and the issue).
What we do not collect
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising pixels. We do not ask for your Twitch password; login happens on Twitch. We do not use your chat, VODs, or clips to train public AI models.
How we use information
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To load your streams, clips, and channel stats so the growth loop can run.
- To remember in-browser progress (for example, which stream you already reviewed).
- To respond to support requests.
- To keep the service secure and working (hosting, error logs, abuse prevention).
Where it is processed
The site is hosted on Vercel. Twitch account and stream data is requested from Twitch when you are connected. Session data is stored in the signed session cookie on your device, not in a separate StreamLoop user database.
Cookies
We use a single essential session cookie after you connect Twitch. We do not use non-essential tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser; connecting Twitch will not stay signed in if the session cookie is blocked.
Third parties
- Twitch Interactive, Inc.: OAuth login and Helix API. Their privacy policy applies to data Twitch holds: Twitch Privacy Notice.
- Vercel Inc.: hosting and serverless functions. Request logs may include IP address and user agent as part of normal hosting.
How long we keep it
The session cookie lasts up to 30 days, or until you log out. Local storage stays on your device until you clear it or use Delete my data on the Support page. We do not keep a standing copy of your VOD library after the request finishes.
Your choices
- Use the site in demo mode without connecting Twitch.
- Log out to end the Twitch session.
- Use Delete my data to log out and clear StreamLoop data stored in this browser.
- Disconnect StreamLoop from your Twitch account under Twitch → Settings → Connections.
- Email support@streamloop.gg to ask what we hold or to request deletion.
Children
StreamLoop is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
